Transfer your Apps & Data from iPad 1 to iPad 2 on Another Computer

You just purchased a brand new iPad 2 and you wanted to transfer all your apps and data from your existing iPad to new device on another computer.

But you cant figuring out what to do? Do not worry, just follow the simple steps to do it without seeking anyone assistant!


1) To prevent your device from syncing automatically, you can go to Edit- Preferences- Devices and tick Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from Syncing automatically.

1) Use the USB and connect to your existing iPad 1 and open your iTunes. Click on Apps and tick the apps which you wish to sync later on.


2) Click on Store and click Authorize this computer. Key in your apple ID and password to authorize. Choose your ipad 1 device name on the navigation bar on the left and click back up.

3) After backup, eject your iPad 1 and plug in iPad 2. If you yet to register for your iPad 2, it will prompt you to do so. After that, it will prompt you again to setup a new iPad or restore from backup. Choose Restore from backup which you had backup earlier.

4) It will syncing and restore from the backup. Please wait for it to be completed. After that, the iPad will reboot and it will be completely same with your iPad 1.

5) Click on Store and click Deauthorize this computer. Key in your apple ID and password to deauthorize.
